is inspired by him
After years of purchasing various budgeting workbooks in an effort to track our expenses and stay on top of our day-to-day finances, we found ourselves becoming increasingly frustrated. The budgeting tools we were using were often confusing, overly complicated, and filled with pages and features we rarely used. Instead of making it easier to manage our money, they often made the process feel more overwhelming than it needed to be.
We were inspired and led by HIM—the LORD—to take a different approach. Through prayer and faith, we felt called to create and print our own financial journal, one that would reflect not only our desire to be good stewards of our finances but also our trust in God's guidance.
The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 16:3 (KJV):
"Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established."
We took this scripture to heart, committed our vision to the LORD, and trusted Him to guide our steps. Through His grace and direction, HIS Grace Financial Stewardship Journal was born!
Authors: Our Stewardship Journey
Ira Evans:
As a wife, mother, great grandmother and a follower of Jesus Christ, my journey of experiencing stewardship firsthand has taught me lessons that go far beyond managing finances. It has challenged me to look at every part of my life and ask myself how faithful am I caring for what God has entrusted to me.
I’m still learning and growing in this area. There are times when I don’t get everything right, but I’m learning to be more mindful, consistent, and intentional about how I manage what I’ve been given. Stewardship has taught me that it isn’t about how much I have or what I can accomplish on my own. It’s about recognizing that everything I have ultimately comes from God and asking myself whether I am honoring Him with the way I care for it.
Sheila Middleton:
I am a mother, a grandmother, and, most importantly, a child of God. My journey with stewardship and learning to be a faithful steward has taught me so much about responsibility, accountability, and consistency.
Through my experiences, I have learned that stewardship is not just about managing my finances. It is also about being intentional with my time, my daily responsibilities, my relationships, and the things God has placed in my care. As a mother and grandmother, I understand more each day that how I manage the little things can make a big difference in the lives of those around me. Stewardship has taught me to be more mindful of how I use what God has given me. I am still learning and growing, but I strive to be accountable, responsible, and consistent in my everyday life. I want my actions to reflect gratitude for the blessings God has entrusted to me.
For me, being a steward means recognizing that everything I have is a gift from God and doing my best to manage those gifts with wisdom, faithfulness, and love.
